Caciocavallo PDO

One of the oldest traditions in stretched curd cheese, regulated by the Consortium, Caciocavallo PDO.​​

Made from cow milk, its maturation (at least 2 months, but for USA market minimum 6 months) period conveys a sweet flavor with a milky aroma, ideal to consume in salads or melted in sandwiches.

Ingredients

Unpasteurized cow's milk, salt, rennet. Cheese rind not edible.
